julieschloss `I accidentally pointed to the wrong entree on the menu. When something different came out, I asked the waiter what happened. He told me this is what I ordered.`

YOU ordered the WRONG thing, BLAME YOURSELF. YOU CAUSED YOUR OWN bad EXPERIENCE AND TO EXPECT SOMETHING FOR FREE IS REALLY CHEAP, WHEN *YOU* ORDERED THE WRONG THING.

I've tried dishes before and I told the waitress I would pay for that, but I'd like to order something else. She comped it, but I *NEVER* EXPECTED something for free, because heck, `I'm TRYING` the dish. It's NOT the restaurants fault I ordered that dish that I happened not to like, because I've NEVER tried it before.

GET REAL, CHEAPASS! PAY FOR WHAT YOU ORDERED IF IT'S *YOUR* MISTAKE. TAKE THE BLAME FOR *YOUR* MISTAKE.

On a night like New Years eve, you cannot expect that everything goes perfect. Besides, who "points" at a menu anyway? Whatever happened to saying, "I'll have the...whatever" You said that you accidentally pointed to the wrong menu item. As you can obviously tell from what YOU wrote, thats your fault. And since I have been to Mediterraneo's I can say that I am sure the incorrect item YOU pointed to probably cost between 20 and 30 $. Now, certainly it would have been nice for the manager to give you the item you intended to "point" at, but you cant expect a restaurant to make up for your mistake especially on new years eve. There is no excuse for a cold steak, but as far as a fork goes, you cannot expect the waiter to read your mind. With 3 or 4 more tables he is waiting on, why not just ask? They may not have noticed they took your fork with them. Certainly cassarinos has great food and service...but they are not the same kind of food...and not the same atmosphere. I loved eating at Mediterraneo's and I think that anyone reading this girls review would know that you had a single bad experience there and that does not merit such a horrible review. The food, service and atmosphere are stellar. -- 3/23/2005 1:49:48 PM
