Dined at La Vieille Maison on 4/29/06, my date is a chef. Nothing special that evening. Possibly because the `season` has come to an end. Foie Grais was cold, 3 types of oysters were nothing to write home abour. My filet was somewhat over cooked and the bordelaise- morels sauce was like soup, with one piece of mushroom in it; so I asked for the bernaise, which was a little vinegary. My dates duck was good. Creme brulee was cold on top and watery inside. For $240, without tip ($60 wine); I will not be back.
