Avalon Cafe is the best TAKEOUT pizza joint in the Newtown/Langhorne/Wrightstown area. The best feature of Avalon's pizza is the sauce; it is unlike any I've had anywhere. But it's all very good, from the Calzones to the antipasto, and reasonably priced. It also has the best tomato pie (called `old fashioned` here) that I've ever had anywhere. We takeout from Avalon at least once a week. I stress takeout, because it isn't the best pizza joint for eating in. Our choice for eating in is Sal's Las Vegas Pizza, also in Newtown.
