Hi, I am also from France and I totally agree with `lanabeth`, but what was even more laughable is that one of the owner told me it was maybe the best restaurant in the world. I almost laughed in his face, the decor is not even a one star restaurant and I am not talking about the food which is good but far from being compared to a 2 or 3 stars. Moreover, the place looks more like a business than a restaurant... en effet ils ont pete plus haut que leur cul.- Is follow up to post by lanabeth ...
Obviously this person has never been to a Michelin 2 or 3 star restaurant. We lived in Paris 14 years and have been to 7 Michelin 3 star restaurants there. Our dining experience at L'Espalier was laughable. The ambiance was nice, but the service was clumsy and the food was mediocre at best. It was obvious the chef never trained in France. The French have a saying that fits perfectly. They try to fart higher than their ass. Alas, without success! -- 12/12/2005 7:38:32 AM
