From the maitre-d not being able to read the reservations book and leaving half of my party waiting in the lobby for about 25 minutes to the table nearly collapsing numerous times while `DINING`, the entire experience was a disappointment at best. I ordered a dirty martini while waiting. The server brought me a martini with olives and lemon on the side as she did not know how I wanted it. Since the table top was not bolted to the base, half of my drink spilled as I rested my hands on the table. When asking the waitress about this she informed me that that is the way the tables are. The woman at the table behind us nearly lost her life while using the table as an aid to seat herself. The Hors Dover’s were acceptable. We ordered a bottle of wine which took about twenty minutes to find its way to the table. Somewhere along the way it passed the butter and the milk which was also requested but didn't show until a second request was made. I ordered the Three Racks of Chops. The racks consisted of one rib each. This along with the Potatoes Au Gratin was quite a deal for only $43.00. My wife ordered the veal medallions with a mushroom based stuffed ravioli. The veal `medallion` was a 2-3 oz. log of under cooked, overly tough tid-bit which never got to be eaten. The 2 small sized pasta pockets were aldente' to a fault. The mushroom stuffing itself was actually tasty if you were able to tear through the uncooked pasta. The specials for the day didn't sound very good either as there weren’t any. To be fair, the deserts weren’t half bad. They weren’t half good either. Don't always listen to what you hear. We had heard good things about this joint. When a place looks from the outside like it should be called the ATHEIAN (classless lighting) you shouldn't expect more than a dry Gyro.
