Worst restaurant experience I've ever had. Three of us went because they advertise belly dancing Friday nights, and one of my middle eastern friends wanted to show us. We entered the restaurant lobby, and despite four employees working and only two couples dining in the restaurant, we stood there for close to 20 minutes before being acknowledged. The lady who led us to our table didn't even greet or talk to us. When we were seated, it took even longer than our previous wait for the woman to come bring us a basket of pita bread. She not only didn't ask us if we wanted anything to drink, but it took her another 20 minutes to reappear to take our order. We had spent time perusing the menu, and weren't impressed with the offerings or the high prices, so instead of just leaving we decided to be polite and order two appetizers. My friend gave her the order, and she said, `That's just for you, right?` When we told the server we were going to split the appetizers, she curtly responded, `We usually seat people who are only ordering appetizers out there.` She pointed to a small table in a dark corner that was next to the restaurant doorway, not even in the dining room. I asked if she wanted us to move to be polite, and she replied, `It's too late now, isn't it?` She continued to treat us rudely throughout our brief stay. When our appetizers came, it looked like she'd taken the food off the plate and served us the garnish. Just that plate cost $8 and was hardly palatable. And no belly dancing or music, either, which is why we'd gone in the first place. I am still in shock over how rudely we were treated after trying going to lengths to be polite.
