Ummm........ too bad I know the owner. I am sorry you had a bad experience, however this place is great. It has such good food, and its at a great price. Highly suggested you can eat there or order it to go.- Is follow up to post by mattdingledy ...
DO NOT EAT AT THIS PLACE! I worked at this "restaurant" in 1999 and it was totally disgusting. I had only worked there for a week when it was shut down by the health board temporarily. The owner, a nasty woman named Vicki, put a sign on the door claiming a water main broke and the place was flooded. Meat (primarily chicken) was kept uoncovered on the (filthy) floor. The garlic butter was made in bulk and usually left uncoverd for 2 or 3 nights at a time. New butter was made without discarding the old substance. There were flys everywhere, also ants due to the filth and buildup on the floor. A horrible woman named Vicki owned and ran the place. I once saw her bring back a tray of prime rib from an event she had catered and actually use the leftover/discarded meat for a soup. One hectic morning while trying to prepare for a catered event I sliced off the tip of my index finger with the meat slicer while slicing turkey - I never saw that part of my finger again and the other employees told me the tray went out anyway. To me this isn't even the worst part. Vicki was a terrible person and she treated her employees like shit. The turnover rate was unbelievable. I had only worked there for 2 weeks when she yelled at a girl named Amber in front of a customer and made her cry. She quit the next day. I only worked there four months and saw at least 10 people come and go. Her recipes were very good though, I wish I could remember some of them. Too bad she is such a bad person/manager and the place is such a mess. -- 1/28/2006 5:02:12 PM
