The food at Jan's is not bad, and the service is excellent, but there are not enough selections for vegetarians. Everything is meat, fish, chicken and eggs. When I became a vegetarian my mother made me cashew nut burgers, chop suey with strips of pressed tofu, spinach pancakes, cottage cheese pancakes, beet borscht with sour cream and a Jewish dish with noodles and cottage cheese. They were all delicious! I wish that Jan's would add some of these things to its menu - of course, they could never make them as good as my mother did!
