I've been dining at Mesa De Espana for many years now and I feel the best feature is the food and how consistent it has been over the years. Many a time, I've gone to a restaurant and ordered my `favorite dish` but it wouldn't taste as good as it had the previous time. At the Mesa De Espana, about everything I've tasted(shrimp in garlic sauce, filet mignon, paella, zarzuela, stuffed mushrooms, spanish potatoes, mariscada, etc) has all been delicious and fresh, which is my biggest concern when ordering seafood-the freshness. You can just tell the second your about to bite into the food that it's going to be divine. And it is, the spices the tastes are to die for. When talking to the owner, I can tell he prides himself on the food and the recipes he has had passed down to him from his old country. The ambience is delightful as well as the entertainment which is a lovely flamenco guitarist (Thurs-Sat nights I believe). Reservations are a must when going with groups, it's a small restaurant and gets filled up easily on the weekends. Oh! and before I forget, you must try their homemade sangria, it's an old favorite.
