My wife, a good curry-maker herself, and I have eaten many times at Plearn, at both the main Berkeley and Walnut Creek locations. The flavorings are top-notch; the spices, particularly in the curries and other sauces are well-blended and dance on your tongue. The kitchen will tailor the level of heat in dishes to your request. I've never had a bad dish here. Ambience is casual, but not sloppy. Service is OK, but not noteworthy. Prices are a little more expensive than other Thai places at which I've eaten, but not outrageous.
