I live in the Bay Area, kris, and I believe Echo would fold up in 6 months anywhere here. The high prices might be justified if that $32 prime rib was organic, grass-fed and raised locally. Instead we're told that local products are used `when possible.` Was my $10 salad local? Maybe. Organic? Who knows? As for atmosphere, Echo is 2 storefronts (like empty Hallmark Stores) that are still just 2 storefronts (the wall still separates them).
