I had a similar experience on a Saturday evening during the Neptune Festival. Most restaurants were packed at that time, but I noticed as I walked by Mahi's that there were a dozen tables empty on the patio. I walked up to ask about the wait - and was told it would be 1 1/2 hours. I also motioned to the empty (already cleared) tables to the hostess, and she rudely handed me a buzzer and turned her back. That was the most polite employee during our experience. Everyone - from waitstaff to sushi chef to bartender - was rude and unprofessional. The sushi bar was bordering on filthy, and it took us three requests and 25 minutes to get waters after we were seated. The draw for us was the early bird special and the 35 cent oysters/clams. However, those were all a complete joke, the food looked like it had been sitting in the sun for a week and the oysters were so small most restaurants would have thrown them away.
