My husband and I were staying in North Beach and wanted to walk to dinner so I looked in Zagats. We chose Albona and were very happy we did. Bruno, the owner, was clearing tables, chatting with diners, and taking orders. He asked us what we wanted and when I couldn't decide between pasta or an entree. He asked me about two questions and told me what I was going to have. Normally, I wouldn't like this, but Bruno is one of those people you trust instantly. I was glad I listened to him. The food was wonderful. I have never ordered pork in a restaurant before (I don't know why.), but I had pork loin stuffed with prosciutto, sauerkraut, apples, and plums. I ate the whole thing, something I rarely do. It was delicious. I can't wait to go back.
