Our first and last experience at St. Elmo's was very disturbing. The atmosphere has about as much ambience as a bus station. The staff is busy running to and fro, but we wondered what they were doing; the wait staff drops dirty dishes at the end of the room very loudly. We were seated at a table. They brought us water and rolls. We ordered, then asked us to move to another table--offering no explanation. We moved to the next table over, and the original table was vacant the entire time we were there. Go figure? Everything is ala carte. Order your steak, order your potato, salad, whatever. You pay for each. I opted for a healthy choice: steamed broccoli--it came swimming in butter. It is definitely a guy's place. We were surrounded by tables of men loudly guffawing. The food is the most artery clogging menu that I have seen in a long time. Will not go back--ever!
