The best Chinese I've been to, overall. Other restaurants have their specialties, but for a one-stop dining experience, you can't beat EOC. I've heard of Chinese people from NYC who make it a point to go to EOC. I can't get enough of their salt/spicy seafood, such as shrimp, squid/calamari, etc. Their * bad teal-n-eat fresh cooked shrimp melts like butter. The ginger/scallion lobster beats anything at Legal Seafood. Any of their stir-fried veggies are good, and their `do-miau` is the best. All of their beef dishes are tender, and I'm a fan of the beef in black bean sauce. Their hot pots are also good, and any seafood is a sure bet (steamed or fried fish, etc.). Their scallops is one of my favorites. There is no other all-around Chinese restaurant champ...perhaps champ of any cuisine, than EOC...Just IMHO. (edited)
