I would agree that the decor is not `romantic` but I think the food is very good. The people are friendly and make you feel welcome and give the impression that they are happy to have you there. If there is a problem with anything, they bend over backward to make it right. They have a `shrimp dish` that we especially like and the steak is good too. It is to bad that one bad experience keeps us from giving a place another chance but I must admit we tend to be that way also. Omaha is blessed with so many excellent eating establishments, we can always take our business else where, which is a clue that good service is as important as the food. We have eaten at the Grill House many times and liked the owner, the food and the location. (No, we do not know the owner outside of being a customer.)- Is follow up to post by haylo ...
Don't be fooled by the 'romantic' rating on this one. Unless you find eating in a warehouse romantic. No secluded tables... I guess they think that a candle on the table is romantic. Also, we were asked to move to a different table to make room for the 'next reservation'. Thought it was rude, and to top it off - the 'next reservation' didn't even show up until we were paying our bill. I doubt if I'll go back. -- 2/15/2002 7:14:16 PM
