Last time I went to Rialto was in 2000, and it was scrumptious. Tonight, we went for a special occasion and it was not good at all. I started out with a warm carrot soup that came out cold and bland and the duck was also cold and salty and needed to be sent back. Others' dishes were not worth the $32-44 by any means and the dessert menu was uninspired. A child was dining with us and they could not suggest anything other than a plate of buttered pasta and would not make a plain chicken dish when asked. Desserts did not tempt at all! An espresso chocolate marshmallow float would not be made without the espresso for a caffeine-sensitive guest. Most of us passed on dessert, since we remembered the delicious fruit tarts and molten chocolate cakes from before and were not excited to try saffron cake with peaches or vanilla creme brulee. Very, very disappointing. Would not visit again.
