I have been a great fan of Indian cuisine for over 30 years. I have eaten in some of the best and worst of Indian restaurants around the world. Dawat comes into my top three of all time after 4 or 5 visits in the past 15 years (I live in Germany). If I had to choose from my three top choices (Veeraswamy in London and Veda in Hong Kong being the other two) then I would have to chose this restaurant. Madra Jaffrey is nothing short of a genius and being the consultant chef, seals it for me! You cannot but enjoy the subtle flavours, excellent presentation and wonderful atmosphere. As a foot note, I have to recommend the Raan, a whole leg of lamb which will have been marinated in the most exquisite of spices for 48 hours. Enjoy!
