`What they are good at is meats from the Tandoor, since this is a Pakistani restaurant. But if you're looking to have vegetarian food, I shudder to think whether or not the ingredients and attention to detail for those that are health conscience are even a consideration by the management there.` -- newsflash, a Pakistani restaurant is supposed to have...dare I say it...Pakistani food! Sadly, subaynative should change their name to subaynaive. Happily, this RESTAURANT isn't meant to cater to the `vegans`. Sure the service may not be what you'd find at a 5-Star restaurant, but you can't find tastier halal meat -- which is far healthier than any meat they serve you at Denny's to start with -- cooked in the classic tandoori style -- which isn't exactly EXPECTED to be the most health concious style of cooking; but boy is it good! Great value at a great price -- and THAT is the real truth.

  • Is follow up to post by subaynative ...
I'm still shocked and surprised that people equate low prices w/ quality food. Here are the absolute facts about this particular venue: This is not a restaurant, not even a truck stop really, but rather a greasy spoon kitchen w/ sanitation conditions that must scruntized more severely by the health department. There is no service, no decor, no frills, no nothing. And sometimes that is fine - if the food is good. Well, it's just average, I'm afraid. What they are good at is meats from the Tandoor, since this is a Pakistani restaurant. But if you're looking to have vegetarian food, I shudder to think whether or not the ingredients and attention to detail for those that are health conscience are even a consideration by the management there. Please stop propping up a place that hardly can be called a restaurant. They serve truly average food that is fairly cheap. You can get better value at Denny's - and that's the truth. -- 10/12/2002 4:04:18 PM
