I have eaten at several Louise's locations in past years. And today my partner and I ended up at this one. It had been years since eating at one of these places and now I remember why. The food has little to no flavor, is way over priced and the experience is pretty much the same as the Olive Garden. Loud and formulaic. We ordered the original salad, which is way out of line in price. 10 dollars for lettuce is simply criminal. The dressing had little to no flavor at all. They boasted cheese as part of the mix and maybe there was half an ounce of shredded mozzarella, hard to say. The tomatoes tasted like cardboard. The only think with any pizazz was the pepperoncino resting on this mountain of blandness. My partner ordered a pasta dish with a Bolognese sauce. When I noticed him over salting his dish, he told me it `needed something.` The meat was over cooked or perhaps the sauce had sat too long in the pot, either way the report was `burned.` My partner states his homemade version of the same dish is far superior, and no, he isn't a chef.
Our drinks were some sort of `tropical` flavored ice tea. Obnoxious at best. These flavored tea drinks tend to have a chemical after taste and just suck. Why don't restaurants let us decide if we want a flavored tea?
Sadly, we had a very sweet waitress or should I say order taker. She was lovely and attentive. Only it was disconcerting when someone else brought us our order. Way too controlled by accountants for so-called `efficiency.` What happened to ambience and atmosphere?
The only thing we can say actually tasted good was the olive oil and balsamic vinegar dip provided with herbed bread prior to the meal.
Sorry Louise, but these people actually do have taste buds.
