Maybe we came on a bad night, but this is the worst experience my wife and I ever have had at a restaurant. We walked in to an essentially empty lobby greeted by the smell of stale cigarettes from when smoking was still legal in California. Our meal was acceptable. The vegetables were very good as well as the mashed potatoes. We ordered a medium steak... it came hardly cooked. We ordered an iced tea... it never came. We asked for the check... it said our iced tea did come. We asked to share a meal... we were charged $1 for an extra plate. We were promised a discount by the waitress before ordering our meal... this discount was denied by the mysterious manager behind the wall after eating our meal. Silly me, I actually believed the discount that was promised to us before ordering the meal would be kept when the bill arrived. What was I thinking? My initial thought about the restaurant business is that restaurant's want to keep customer's, but I guess those at *rich*-A-Doodle have a different idea. I was thinking `do these people have a desire to go out of business? because they seem to be working very hard to do so.` Patorns beware, you have been warned. But, we will never be going back and we will encourage others to follow do the same. (edited)
