I have mixed feelings on this one... The food is O.K. but nothing too special. The fact that their location to tourists and Vieux Carre' residents is convenient... but they shouldn't rest on those laurels. That's not good enough for the heightened reputation that we've earned (no, I am not a professional chef, competitor, or neighbor. But, I am a local and have been disappointed recently). My last two visits showed harried wait staff (maybe fine for weary out-of-town guests) and an unpleasant hostess who suggested an hour wait despite empty tables all around. While the breads are acceptable, they do not justify the skimpiness of the olive mix and meats on the muffaletto. Please charge more if you have to, but don't desecate the recipe!
