Back in the 80's and into the early 90's, my father would treat us (my wife; brother and his wife) to a nice Dinner at the Lobster House for another good end to summer camping at Lake Laurie. It was always a special occasion, and a meal that would bust your belt. It's been sometime since my wife and I have been to the Lobster House, so I booked a weekend getaway to Cape May for our 14th wedding anniversary. We went to the Lobster House for our anniversary dinner and came away unhappy. Of course that didn't ruin the rest of the weekend.
Our server was cordial enough, but was slow. Our portions were not as big as anticipated from previous dinner adventures.
My wife got the Cold Seafood Platter and I got the Broiled Fisherman's Wharf Platter. They each cost around $25. Lobster House should either lower the price of these fares or add the whole lobster into the entree and add a few more shrimp with the one whole butterfly shrimp that comes with the meal.
We both agreed that that would be the last time we ever went to the Lobster House.
