Legend's used to be a decent place to eat, but in recent years, it has really slipped. I ordered the `special` one night last week, mahi-mahi with sauce Béarnaise. For $22.95 (plus tax and tip), I got a square slab of fish so firm it would have bounced off the walls, four limp slices of zucchini, and anemic, soggy white rice. The sauce was congealed and cold. Add to this an appetizer of exactly seven `plump oysters` ($8.95) that had clearly been freezer- burnt before they were deep-fried in rancid oil, and consequently tough as a boot. The restaurant's salad bar, once its saving grace, now includes dressings that sit in containers unwashed since the 1980s, and vegetables that are a week old at the very best, if one goes by the broccoli, which had turned yellow: not a good sign. This was, hands-down, the worst meal I have eaten in Norman, and that's saying a lot. When I got home, I became violently sick and as I write this, am still recovering from some hideous form of food poisoning that I got from one of the above ingredients. Needless to say, I will NEVER darken Legend's door again.
