It has been an awfully long time since I ate at the Captains Table, but in the summer and fall of 1980 I ate there four to six times a week for about four months. Occaisionally, they had this fish called Scamp. It was delicious the best fish I ever ate. Actually, I love shellfish but I usually don't eat fish with a few exceptions like Scamp, solid white Albacore in Tuna Salad, and an occaisional fried whitefish (like fish 'n' chips). I cannot eat any kind of freshwater fish. They also served boiled shrimp, Oysters Rockefeller and very good New England Style Clam Chowder. I loved the place and never got tired of eating there.
