I just don't see the argument that Hans is all that community-oriented. Some of the `gourmet` pizza ideas are good, but they're premade and in my experience, skimpy on the toppings. Have you ever ordered the `Moroccan ragout` or hummus? The serving is so paltry that I would be embarrassed to offer it to a beggar. Burgers are, what, nine dollars now? With soggy fries? I don't know, man-- my money is going elsewhere on general principles. I don't care how Hans gets to work, so long as there's no biking on the walk.- Is follow up to post by paulpaxman ...
While the service can be uneven and
sometimes snail-pace, I've not only never had
a reason to complain about the food, its
downright good, and keeps us coming back
(since 1969) Community-minded owner Hans
Morsbach, who lives nearby and bikes to work,
has done an admirable job of keeping it going
even through a move and expansion to a new
location, where it's now better than ever. -- 11/11/2004 12:30:53 PM
