My husband and I discovered South Street Souvlaki when my daughter was attending the University of the Arts in the great city of Philadelphia. Since her graduation in 1998, we make special trips from our home in Delaware to this divine restaurant where we love everything from the warm pita bread and hummus through the best dessert in the world - a custard, rose water and honey treat with a crust of melt-in-your-mouth filo dough. Often, we order dessert first! Great place. We've recommended it countless times and just wish that the hours were longer for after-theatre dining.
