My uncle took me for the first time last weekend, and I have to say this place is awesome. A bit on the pricey side for Bakersfield, you definitely get what you pay for here! The food is to die for and there is LOTS of it. By the time our entree arrived we had already gorged ourselves on their wonderful bread, bleu cheese, salsa, soup, pickled tongue (not my favorite), vegetables and baskets of DELICIOUS fries. The chilled red wine is delicious and goes down smoothly, and the entree was delicious. If you're allergic to garlic, you may want to stay away from this place because freshly chopped garlic abounds and is absolutely delicious on the fries. The NY steak was wonderful and I sampled some of the garlic chicken and rack of lamb - just delicious. The customer service is awesome, and the clienetele are casual family diners - no pretenses here. The atmosphere is classic - it may not be the fanciest place in town but the food is excellent!
