While the service can be uneven and sometimes snail-pace, I've not only never had a reason to complain about the food, its downright good, and keeps us coming back (since 1969) Community-minded owner Hans Morsbach, who lives nearby and bikes to work, has done an admirable job of keeping it going even through a move and expansion to a new location, where it's now better than ever.
