The House Of Madame JoJo has only ten tables. As these women were the first diners of the evening, on a busy Friday night, we sat them at a great table for four up by the window. At 8:15, after more than two and a half hours in the restaurant, we did in fact tell the ladies we needed that table for a group of four who were waiting, and who had reservations. We offered the one guest to finish her tea at an available table for two, but she declined. The only available tables were tables for two, and would not have accomodated the four ladies waiting. We regret that the two ladies had an unpleasant time in the restaurant, but in such a small venue, we occasionally need to do what the big boys do, and have two seatings per table per evening whenever possible. Most restaurants encounter this difficult situation from time to time, and in our small intimate atmoshphere, with only ten tables in the entire restaurant, our regular patrons understand our challenge for seats. We pride ourselves on service, and regret their negative experience.{P}{UL}{LI} {B}Is follow up to {A HREF=`http://dinesite.com/info/review-read/post=46122/`}post by sarceo{/A} ...{/B}{BR}A friend and I had dinner last night at the House of Madame JoJo. After dinner, she had tea and we continued our conversation. There were 4 tables vacant so we didn't bother to rush out, but despite the open tables, the server had asked us to vacate the table because other patrons asked for our table. This establishment has lost the business our patronage permanently. As a Long Beach native and resident, I will tell all of my friends and family to avoid House of Madam JoJo's, unless they would like their dining experienced to be ruined! -- 10/2/2004 12:35:22 PM
