This review is for lunch... I've gone to Shilling's for several lunches, and I honestly think it is one of the best places on the square to have a nice business or casual lunch with friends. The atmosphere is an overwhelming experience -- I personally find the upscale pub with antique stained glass look to be very tasteful. It will certainly impress your guests. The wait staff is totally attentive to your needs. I honestly have to praise the sandwiches: my roast beef was superb -- I believe they must have used Boar's Head. The soups were also excellent -- highly recommend the black bean. My friend had the corned beef sandwich and she said it was one of the best she's ever had. They do use high quality ingredients, even though I doubt that there is a chef in the kitchen during the lunch hours. The potato salad was passable. Again, I can recommend it for a good lunch with a friend -- the atmosphere was very quiet and restrained.
