I would agree with the complaints about the cost of a meal at Shibucho. I have on several occasions in my past few years in LA (and OC) better sushi meals for much better prices. The clientele strikes me as somewhat fanatical (see some of the previous posts for a sample), but I really don't get it. The sushi is certainly very good, but certainly not THAT good - at least not on either night that I was there. The wine selection is very good, although the median price for a bottle is over $100.
