Several bad experiences. I want to like any cozy inn on the Delaware River, but unfortunately, I have had several bad experiences at the Stockton Inn. Perhaps I have just been unlucky, but I have gone three times over the past year and a half and each time was disappointing. Most recently, the Inn was out of three main entrees on the lunch menu, the service, while pleasant, took very long, and my entree did not arrive the way I ordered it. I ordered a salad without dressing, and the salad came dressed. I know it may seem like a nitpick, but I am alergic to several common components of salad dressing and it is always embarassing and annoying to have to send the salad back. On my previous visits I encountered the very slow service both times. I also recall finding the food to be not worth the price. There are many beautiful inns with delicious restaurants all along the river. It is easy to find a more satisfying option.
