My favorite restaurant in NYC--I bring all out- of-town guests there. Nice prix fixe feast--I think it's $20 or $25 per person. Wonderful `tasting` menu where you can try a bit of everything then ask for your favs over and over. You will over eat if you don't watch out!!! Everything is vegetarian, though you would NEVER miss meat. Brought a rancher friend there and he said `can't believe I actually enjoyed a meal with no meat in it!` I've never had a problem with service--kind of European in nature though, they want you to spend the evening enjoying your dinner mates, the experience, and the food. Each course is brought out when you're done with the previous course. Seating varies from sitting cross-legged on pillows, sitting in chairs or booths, or lounging while eating. Make sure you wear clean socks cause the shoes come off pretty quickly.
