We went over Memorial Day weekend, and didn't know the area. Since Rooney's was by the beach, we ate there several times. We were consistently delighted with the food and service, but could have done without the music on Friday night. By sitting outside, though, this was not much of an issue. Portions were HUGE!!! Service was timely for the most part, and courteous, but servers (who carry pepper mills) often forgot to offer fresh pepper, so you might have to ask. The water is about 40 yards from your table if you sit outside, and that was great. For a place that has no pretensions to fine dining, they provide an excellent meal. It's also a nice place just to go and have a drink in the evening.
