This is NOT the best chinese food in the area. First of all, Kim's was very expensive compared to other local chinese restaurants. We ordered two dinner combinations and paid around $10 more for less food than at the other local places we frequent. The egg foo young didn't seem like anything more than scrambled eggs with peppers in it.. no sauce like other establishments. The fried rice and chow mein were a bit bland. And one very disturbing thing was when the leftover chow mein congealed into a jellied mass in the refrigerator overnight, probably too much cornstarch? I don't know, but if I pay for food and have leftovers, I'd like it to be edible the next day. The one thing I did like was the mar far chicken made with white meat. Kim's is the only place I've been that offers the choice of white meat. All in all, I'd say go here if you want expensive chinese food that has a chain-type restaurant style, but if you want something really good and authentic, go to Panda Garden in Ashland.
