`Perche No` (why not!) is one of the best true Italian restaurants in Seattle. They visit Italy every other year to collect recipes, and they reproduce them beautifully. I took a pair of visiting Italians there for lunch, and they struck up an animated conversation with the proprietress -- laughing and gesticulating -- I have no idea what they were saying, of course, but my guest reported that everything was as it should be. Wonderful little place. Intimate, friendly and absolutely fantastic food. The attention to detail in everything from presentation of the courses to the hams on the wall, make this a dinning experience not to be missed. -- 11/20/2002 11:53:15 AM
