A group of 8 waited 3 months for reservations and finally on Sat Mar 27 after sitting in traffic for 2 hrs we arrived at the infamous Peter Luger's. I don't know what all the hype is about - it was a total disappointment. The steak is ok at best. Nothing wonderful - not mouth-watering, just a steak. I much prefer a baked potato - not home fries. I also like my own steak cooked the way I like it. If you think Peter Luger's is great - try Lorenzo's in Trenton. You'll definitely think that is a steak to die for. Don't waste your time and money. Next time, I'll go to my butcher and buy a 2-3` steak of choice and grill it to perfection the way I like. This was more than just disappointing. I don't know what the draw is - it certainly isn't the food, service and least of all atmosphere.
