El Mansour is one of my favourite places in San Francisco to spend an evening. I usually try to encourage at least two or three people to join me. Everything is artfully presented, from the washing of the hands at the start through sipping your honey-mint tea at the end of a very full meal. I'm particularly fond of the spiced eggplant in the salad plate, and I want their recipie for Lentil Soup! It's an excellent place for a birthday dinner, as long as you don't mind embarrasing your friend as the dancer encourages them to get up and dance.
