I've grown up eating all kinds of filipino foods. Manila Bay is a fun and cute atmosphere that can help a filipino philadelphian get a taste of filipino surroundings. The place reminds me of a little bar in the barrios of olongapo. The food is not the best filipino food I ever had, and no one will ever compare to my mothers! haha. But it can suffice if you do not feel like cooking filipino foods that night. The food is inexpensive, which makes it even more worth it. It's true, at times they do not have the popular filipino items on the menu available. I don't know why! But, when my parents visit I will still bring them there for the fun and the atmosphere. I'll be honest, I get excited when ever I see something filipino and I'm not in the Philippines. I just came back from Nassau Bahamas and they had 3 filipino restaurants. I was so happy to see that! Definitely bring your friends to Manila Bay for some filipino karaoke. And there is also a filipino store across the street now.
