I used to bea regular at Brandy Petes in the early 90s when I lived in downtown. It was the best place to enjoy a cold beer on a hot afternnon after a long day at work, or a hearty meatloaf for luch. There was a colorful group of regulars, you could not write better characters. Unfortunately, it is not the same, the bartenders are still good, but the waitstaff is unexperienced and lacking the surliness and personality of those who came before them.
