Easily the worst dining experience I've had since moving to Boston. After having waited for more than an hour for a table for 6, we were finally seated. Prior to our being seated, one of our dinner companions was called to the phone to handle a family emergency. We were seated and explained that our companion would join us shortly, but that we were entirely prepared to order for the table. After being treated extraordinarily rudely by our `host` for the evening, we were asked to leave because we had the audacity to sit without our sixth dining companion. Over the years, I accumulated my fair share of restaurant experience and sympathize with the staff for the stresses of the service industry. However, they are no excuse for the intensely dismissive attitude we received that evening. Appropriately, as we departed the restaurant in a seething fury, our `missing` sixth returned from his emergency and was ready to eat ... well before we would have even finished ordering our first tapas.
