I`am addressing this to you a lttle late, but `You` need to know how bad my experience was when I visited last Nov. 14 for dinner with my daughter at Picholines. I ordered the gross. I was excited at the prospects of game bird, as I am a hunter. My first bite was difficult to swallow, because of the gravely taste in my mouth, and the thought that surely this is not what I think it is. I swallowed it instead of making a scene by spitting it out. I then took another bite and realized my worst fear `buckshot.` I spit the lead shot into my napkin for evidence. I was very disapointed in my meal form then on. You are very expensive. Just think how much the dental work would have been had I bitten down hard. I am coming again next week for another run on haute cusine in New York. I showed the buckshot to some folks at the gallery where my daughters art was be exhibited. They were aghast,` Picholines?` Yes, Picholines. Unbeleavible, but I have the lead to prove it. Check your birds, and who ever shoots em! I hope you get this. I have eaten at Picholine several times, and personally consider it the best in New York City. They constantly deliver world-class food with world-class service. I think they would receive higher ratings if they weren't stereotyped by being on the Upper West Side. -- 10/16/2002 3:31:56 PM
