We have been to Dawat many times in the past before for the great food. Taking into account of our previous experience of Dawat we decided to go there this time again. Our review of Dawat this time was really shocking. 1. Taste of food has dropped significantly (Very poor). 2. As a restaurant that carried a good name in the past one would expect that in order to keep attracting customers one would pay more attention to the level of service. If a customer asks the person who is taking their order about how much is the portion of food served in any given entree one would expect an Honest answer and NOT an answer which is all geared at the thought process that how much money can I suck out of the customer. We had ordered e.g. Raan and asked how is the serving size. The person who took the order mentioned that it is good enough for only 1 person and another can just barely pick from it. The same answer was given for all the other items. Thinking that the serving size was good enough only for 1 person as the person taking the order advised we ordered quite a few items. When the food was served we found that the person who was taking our order totally misguided us since the serving sizes were quite a lot and in fact we really did not need to order so much. One can go into any good American Restaurant and the server will always give an honest answer and tell `It will be too much ..this should be enough`. We felt that a person working in a SO CALLED famous restaurant like Dawat would atleast not try to mislead a person. American Restaurant pay a lot more attention to Customer Service and Satisfaction. It is VERY SAD to see the state of the Indian Restaurant like Dawat whose primary objective is to extract money from the customer rather than Customer Service and Satisfaction. We also ordered stuff like Pathar Kawab - no longer the good taste it had before, Chicken Vindaloo - it tasted just like some boiled chicken in tomato sauce... we have decided never to go to Dawat again and also Never Recommend it to anyone
