Wally Waffles is one of three locations in the Akron area, and the original at Wallhaven in Akron is my favorite restaurant in Akron. This Wally Waffle is cozy, and you might have to wait to be seated. It has a Southern California look and feel, wood paneling and Don Drum sun icons. I always go for waffles, and they have a variety of waffles. It is warm bright and cozy when I go for breakfast. I have never gone their for lunch, though if I did, I would probably get a waffle. I like their waffle specialties. One is called morning glory, which is a combination that includes chocolate chips, nuts, whipped cream, a la mode and sliced bananas. It is a huge meal. The other is a combination of fruits on the waffle. Other times I will get a plain waffle, just to taste the glory of it. Their omelets are really good, and often my dining companion (wife) will order an omelet and I will order a waffle and we will split half and half.
