This is a terrific restaurant in an unexpected location. The food is excellent and the atmosphere romantic and cozy. There are fireplaces on either end of the dining room, candles on every white linen tablecloth and charming owners who treat you like family, are willing to accomodate many a special wish and who live up to their word. How did we find it? Late one night on a drive down R.R. 12 towards Wimberly. A year or so later we held our wedding reception there and were treated like royalty. Alpenhof Steak Haus is a wonderful little place that lives up to the phrase ` charmingly consistant.`
