I asked a motel clerk to recommend a restaurant. She asked `what are you looking for?` I said `expensive` and she said `The Mint.` My expectation was low in a western town on the Lewis and Clark trail I'd never heard of , but it was a fun and crowded spot on a Saturday night with a good blacked rib-eye steak, a single malt scotch and a glass of merlot.
