As a frequent visitor to 75 Chestnut over the years I, like counteless other regulars, have come to cherish this spot. But after run-ins with the new General Manager, David Amaral, I fear the place is changing for the worse. He treats constructive comments about food and wine with utter disdain and his snooty attitude is having a noticeable effect on staff and clients. This is one of the few rude and pompous Boston restaurant managers I have ever encountered and I hope his reign at 75 Chestnut is short-lived.{P}{UL}{LI} {B}Is follow up to {A HREF=`http://dinesite.com/info/review-read/post=38312/?&t=540116`}post by mintocrags{/A} ...{/B}{BR}Food was good but not great. Pretty room and ambience. Surprisingly and disappointingly undistinguished wine list. (On the other hand, I'm from San Francisco, so my standards are pretty high and even the food in the best restaurants in Boston has, so far, proven to be pretty ho-hum for their high prices.) -- 4/22/2003 1:00:26 PM- Is follow up to post by mintocrags ...
