Excellent & highly recommended! My friend and visited Harry Cipriani on a Sunday morning in February 2003. We were both extremely hungover, were dressed in very scruffy clothes and were desperate to find a restaurant serving Eggs Benedict!! A friend had recommended the Plaza Hotel but we decided we were far too scruffy to brave such an upmarket establishment. We therefore rolled into Harry Cipriani without really paying any attention whatsoever to the place itself and asked one of the staff if we could have Eggs Benedict. She was absolutely charming and whilst pointing out that they were not actually open yet (it was around 11:30am) sat us down and arranged for a waiter to come and see us. Whilst we did not order or sample any dishes from the main menu (having requested a dish which wasn't even on offer) the Eggs Benedict when they arrived were delicious and the service was absolutely fantastic. It slowly dawned on us, as other tables began to arrive (clad in designer labels and obviously `old` money), that this was in fact a rather upmarket restaurant and we began to feel extremely conscious of the fact that we were a) Dreadfully hungover b) Looking absolutely horrendous and c) Dressed in jeans and embarrassingly grubby trainers (sneakers!) However the staff were absolutely fantastic and we were treated with nothing but courtesy and good humour - exactly like every other (infinitely smarter)customer in the place. We really could not have asked for a nicer end to our weekend in New York. I personally would recommend Harry Cipriani without hesitation - I can't vouch for the food other than what we had (which included brioche and delicious cakes for dessert) but the service was exemplary. We both had a lovely time there and, each of us having worked in the catering industry ourselves, were very impressed by the high quality of service from all we encountered there. It was a pleasure to dine there.
