My boyfriend took me to Casa La Femme for our two-year anniversary; we expected a unique atmosphere in which to celebrate. We had read that this was one of the most romantic places for a date. However, from the facade of the building to the staff attitudes inside, we were greatly disappointed. When we were walking down Wooster Street, we almost went right by the restaurant, because we did not expect the Romantic, $65 per person oasis to be located inside a quasi garage. Due to the bad weather, and our paucity of other options, we entered, but the staff was aggressive and presumptuous from the start. We were seated in one of the high tables in the center aisle, but were made highly uncomfortable, since groups of people, lying on the floor, and shielded by their tents, surrounded us. I do acknowledge that the ambience was pleasant: soft candlelight, invigorating Middle Eastern tunes, festive decor, etc. Nonetheless, my general advice is this: Casa La Femme is great for those who wish to spend upwards of $70 per person to lie on a floor, and drink excessive amounts of liquor. For those couples who are looking for a cozy and comfortable environment with friendly, helpful staff, I believe that you will be as disappointed with Casa La Femme as we were!
